Seawind of Battery started as an outlet for Mike Horn’s experimental guitar works. His 2022 album “Clockwatching” struck a nerve with people eager on listening to ambient guitar explorations delivered with a rustic drawl. In latest days Mike has added Jarrod Annis on lap metal. Working as a duo the mission feels extra substantial. The layered guitar elements appearing as backing band now have countering “lead” voices in Jarrod’s lap metal and Mike’s Tele and it makes for a really thrilling journey.
I’ve been ready to see how this materials can be reproduced dwell and I wasn’t dissatisfied. The set opened with “New Moon”, certainly one of two new compositions we had been handled to.
